Hotohms™Mica strip heaters are  made by winding a nickel -chrome resistance wire or ribbon around a mica or micanite sheet, then put the element between two other mica sheets. Use a metal sheet to protect the assembly. The metal sheet can be stainless steel, copper or steel.
